MICHAEL DENNIS

CHAIRMAN AND CO-FOUNDER

Michael Dennis is the Chairman and Co-Founder of Azure and involved on all aspects of the company’s operations. Mr. Dennis is a commercial developer with more than 50 years of experience. Mr. Dennis has been responsible for the development, operation and management of over 20 million square feet of real estate throughout the United States. He is also currently the CEO of Azure Developments which owns and develops properties in Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany. These projects include the 300,000 square foot Festival Hall retail complex in Toronto, 450,000 square foot Broadgate West office development in London, 200,000 square foot 43 Neuer Wall retail & office complex in Hamburg and the 250-acre business park Brandenburg, Germany.

He is the former CEO of Canary Wharf in London, the largest private development project in the world where he oversaw all planning, construction, leasing and financing of the project.  Today, Canary Wharf is comprised of approximately 16 million square feet of office and retail space where over 90,000 people work daily. Prior to that, he was the Executive Vice President at Olympia & York responsible for all development in the United States most notably, of the World Financial Center in lower Manhattan where he led all aspects of the project. Mr. Dennis also served as Chairman of the Canadian Government Housing Task Force and Commissioner of Housing for the City of Toronto where he was responsible for the development of thousands of apartment units.


ARTHUR ROSENBERG

CEO AND CO-FOUNDER

Mr. Rosenberg is the CEO and Co-Founder of Azure and has 25 years of real estate experience. He oversees the company’s operations and is actively involved in all aspects of asset management, acquisitions, dispositions and investor relations. Prior to forming Azure, Mr. Rosenberg was a Director at Marathon Asset Management’s Real Estate Opportunity Fund. Marathon is a $10 billion global investment management firm with over $3 billion invested in real estate debt and equity.  At Marathon, Mr. Rosenberg oversaw North American and Western European investment opportunities where he was directly responsible for the purchase of over $4 billion of property.   Prior to joining Marathon in 2004, Mr. Rosenberg was an investment analyst dedicated to acquisition and development transactions for Sienna Capital, an investment firm set up as a joint venture with Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds. 

 Mr. Rosenberg’s investments to date include common equity, preferred equity, mezzanine financing, and controlling debt real estate projects in the US and Western Europe. In addition to spending the last 13 years in the multifamily sector, Mr. Rosenberg has invested in ground up development, conversions and existing assets in the office, condominium, hotel, retail, parking, homebuilding and land sectors. 


BRYANT FERBER

MANAGING DIRECTOR
AND PRINCIPAL

Mr. Ferber is a Principal of Azure with 20 years of multifamily experience. He joined Azure in 2010 and has since been directly involved in the acquisition and management of more than $2.7 Billion in real estate assets. He is our Head of Acquisitions and also actively immersed in all day-to-day operations including dispositions, financings, and overseeing asset management, capital projects and daily operations.

Prior to joining Azure, Mr. Ferber was at Transwestern where he was directly involved in more than $2 Billion of acquisition, disposition, debt and equity transactions.  At Transwestern, his responsibilities included sourcing opportunities, underwriting, performing financial modeling and analysis, conducting due diligence and maintaining client relationships. Prior to joining Transwestern in 2005, Mr. Ferber acted as a Project Manager and aided with acquisitions and developments with his family’s business, Ferber Properties, a small development company in San Diego, CA.


SAHAR PAPALIA

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Mrs. Papalia is the CFO of Azure, and a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York with 25 years of experience in real estate accounting and finance. She is responsible for the review and oversight of all accounting, financial reporting and related operations. She is also involved in budgeting and asset management oversight.

 Prior to joining Azure, Mrs. Papalia was the Director of Accounting at Marathon Asset Management, overseeing all of the Marathon onshore and offshore funds.  She also was primarily responsible for the monthly and annual financial statements, review of tax filings, and accounting controls for the funds.  Additionally, she was the Controller of the Marathon Singapore, London, and Hong Kong management company offices. 

Before joining Marathon in 2005, Mrs. Papalia spent six years with Deloitte & Touche LLP's audit department where her clients ranged from brokers and dealers in securities, banks, real estate ventures and funds.   


CHARLIE OSBORNE

VICE PRESIDENT

Mr. Osborne joined Azure in 2019 as an Associate and is focused on the asset management of Azure’s portfolio as well as the sourcing and underwriting of new acquisitions. Prior to joining Azure, Mr. Osborne was an Acquisitions Associate at Sentinel Real Estate Corporation, a real estate investment advisory firm located in New York City. At Sentinel, Mr. Osborne’s responsibilities included sourcing and underwriting new multi-family acquisitions throughout the U.S. Prior to Sentinel, Mr. Osborne was an Asset Management Analyst at The LeFrak Organization located in New York City. At LeFrak, Mr. Osborne focused on the strategic management of multi-family assets in the New York City Metro area.


PJ VAN HOOF

VICE PRESIDENT

Mr. Van Hoof joined Azure in 2022 and is responsible for sourcing and underwriting of new acquisitions in conjunction with the asset management execution of Azure’s portfolio . Prior to joining Azure, Mr. Van Hoof spent six years at Nahla Capital where he was a Senior Associate. At Nahla, Mr. Van Hoof was focused on sourcing and underwriting new acquisitions along with the day-to-day asset management of the firm’s assets in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Chicago. During his tenure at Nahla, Mr. Van Hoof was directly involved in more than $1.5B in real estate assets ranging from multifamily, office, retail, land entitlement and ground-up condominium development.  

NESETA PERRAULT

ACCOUNTING

Mrs. Perrault is part of the Accounting team at Azure supporting the CFO and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Azure, Mrs. Perrault was the Team Leader for the Asset Transfer Department at AXA Advisors New York, NY. Mrs. Perrault’s primary responsibilities included expediting the account transfer process for AXA and external customers, monitoring all incoming transfers from the AXA annuity platform and outgoing AXA Advisors transfers, and providing research support. Prior to joining AXA Advisors, Mrs. Perrault was the Transfer of Assets Supervisor at MONY Securities Corporation where she managed a staff of eight people.
